How Weightless Flighta are Conducted: ZERO G conducts its weightless flights aboard G FORCE ONE a specially modified Boeing 727-200 aircraft. Able to accommodate up to 35 Flyers and 6 crew members, G-FORCE ONE is the result of thorough evaluations and consultation with the FAA in order to modify the aircraft for parabolic flight maneuvers controlled ascent and descent of the plane in order to create temporary weightlessness. These parabolic flight maneuvers are the same methods used to train astronauts for space, and used by Ron Howard in the filming of the movie Apollo 13.

Prior to the flight, flyers undergo a brief training session before embarking G-FORCE ONE. The total duration flight is approximately 90 minutes, during which Flyers experience gravity conditions on Mars (1/3-g); the moon (1/6-g); and space (0-g).G FORCE ONEs interior is divided into two zones. The rear area is called the Seating Zone, which provides seating and FAA-required provisions (i.e. emergency oxygen, escape path lighting, floatation device, etc.) for up to 35 cabin passengers and crew. The Floating Zone is the forward section (approximately 70 feet in length) where Flyers float and fly during the periods of weightlessness. For consumer flights, the floor of the Floating Zone is covered with a special FAA-approved 1.5-inch energy absorbing Ensolite padding.
